Arena™ League
Samurai Comics also runs a monthly Arena™ League for all your casual playing needs. And better yet, it's FREE to join. (You just provide the product)

What is it?
Arena™ is a league for casual and fun Magic play. It's also the ideal venue for players seeking new people to play with and enjoy some low-pressure competition, while still offering a bounty of prizes. Arena™ is administered by the DCI, but the actual Arena™ league play doesn't affect your DCI rating.

Anyone can win.
Even if you aren't a great Magic: The Gathering® player, you can still find yourself at the top of the league. The more you play-win or lose-the more points you earn. That's right-you can win the league even if you've been playing Magic for only two weeks!

Prizes.
Wizards of the Coast provides 5 foil cards from the latest expansion and an exclusive Arena™ Champion life counter to be used as prizes. The life counter goes to the player with the highest Arena™ score. The foils are distributed to the four highest scores and the best junior player. Wizards of the Coast also provides 10 exclusive artwork Arena™ lands to be distributed as giveaways.
Arena™ foil for the month of March: Bonesplitter

Playing games.
You can play a league game whenever and wherever you like. Each player in the league will be given a Match report form when they sign up. This form is to be used to keep track of all of your Arena™ league matches. A match is the best 2 games out of 3. Please note, for the game to count, both players must record the match results and initial their opponent's Match report form.

Choosing an opponent.
You choose your Arena™ league opponent just as you would any opponent for a casual game; you ask someone in the league to play and if they say yes, then you play. You will never be forced to play anyone you don't want to play throughout the course of the league. However, you must play at least three other opponents before facing someone you have already played a match against.

Arena™ format for the month of March: Standard (Type II)

Next month's format: Mirrodin Sealed Deck
